Our kennel is located in the beautiful port city of Lithuania - Klaipėda. Velnio malūnas name was registered in the Lithuanian Cynological

Society about 15 years ago, when we were admiring the German Shepherd breed. The translation of our kennel name to english

means Devil‘s mill. This magical name came from the pagan belief in Lithuanian folklore, mythological legends and fairy tales

where the devil attempts to seduce a human to abduct his soul. Our beloved four-legged friends have a very similar behaviour –

they come to a humans’ life and immediately steal their hearts :) ...for many years, my heart has belonged

to the free spirited and stunningly beautiful – the wolves.


Fidelity, intelligence, endurance, indomitable spirit, primitive nature, smart look, a combination of power and elegance... all this had

enchanted me for life. In spring 2005, the Siberian husky female Taiga invaded my life and turned it upside down :) Very soon our gang

leader Pepito joined our family. Two years later, the ever happy and smiling Siberian male Debesėlis was joined our family.

I had been gathering knowledge of this breed for several years. During this time, I have been acquainted with many Siberians and their

breeders, and I started to dream about a new line of outstanding dogs for my kennel. After doing a lot of research for the right puppy from

world-famous and well-known Siberian husky kennels, in the summer of 2009 it was time for my dream to come true and I flew to the

U.S. to hug and bring home my awesome chocolate coloured girls – Reina and Melisa. Our youngest Siberian Paco, became a member of

our kennel in early 2010. This sunny boy enjoys a happy childhood with Andrius' family, where he is loved and admired.

Life with Siberians gives every day full of interesting activities, unexpected surprises, and adventures. Sledding with dogs – gives wings

to fly. A fantastic feeling! I can’t imagine one day without a husky hum, fancy speech, their smiles and energy emitting eyes. Their deep

look and moving tail - calls to live... every morning... every day. With them, I feel that I don’t waste time and I dream that the day would

be at least four hours longer :)

The wild nature of Siberian huskies and their extraordinary energy has generated a common energetic little

world within our homes and hearts...

We are extremely grateful to all our dogs’ breeders - Tarnawskiej Riviery, Paracortus, Winter melody, Jo-Kar, Lancelot and Zaltana

kennels, for their confidence in us and faith, for friendship and sincerity. Also, to our dogs’ handler Marija Zemlianskaja,

for her work with our huskies, preparation for rings and professional presentation in the dog shows. Big thanks to the “Lithuanian

sport with sled dogs Federation” President Arnoldas Akelaitis for sharing useful information and tips about sports with dogs,

for inspiration and sincere support. Also we want to say a big thanks to Winter Melody kennel owners - Ewa Gorska and Jose Luis,

for our warm and beautiful new website! And for their sincerity, kindness, friendship and support.

And finaly to all our close people and friends – thank you for being there!
